Our timeframes for setting up and taking down our pole and canvas marquees
The exact time required to set up and take down a pole and canvas marquee varies based on several factors, including the size of the marquee, your chosen furnishings and any additional features such as lounge areas, dance floors, or catering setups. However, rest assured that our experienced and dedicated team always arrives with sufficient staff to complete the work within the agreed timeframe.
As a guide:
A single marquee with walls typically takes two to four hours to set up
A full set-up, including flooring, tables, chairs, dance floor, stage, décor, lighting and catering areas, can take five to ten hours
We aim to complete the marquee installation at least a day before your event to allow florists, caterers and other suppliers time to add their finishing touches. For example, if your event is on a Saturday, we aim to be finished by Thursday evening
Take-down is usually completed in one day, typically the day after your event or occasionally the day after that, depending on the schedule agreed with you in advance

How we set up our pole & canvas marquees for your wedding or special celebration
Site preparation
Before the marquee is installed, we conduct a site visit to assess the ground conditions, identify any potential obstacles and determine the best layout for the marquee and its surrounding areas.
Putting up the poles
The structure of our marquees is supported by handcrafted wooden poles, each carefully varnished for a refined finish. We start by driving stakes around the marquee's perimeter, securing the ropes in place. The king poles, which run along the centre of the marquee, are then raised, followed by the wall poles, forming what we call our 'bath tub' structure.
Raising the canvas
With the poles in place, we carefully lift the canvas into position. This is one of our favourite moments in the process, as it brings the marquee to life, transforming the setting into an elegant event space.
Interior set-up
Once the structure is secure, we begin the interior transformation, adding flooring, lighting, seating and any additional bespoke features you have selected. This stage is meticulous, as we ensure every detail is perfectly executed to create a luxurious and inviting atmosphere.

How we take down our pole and canvas marquees
Dismantling the interior
We begin by carefully removing all furnishings, decorations and lighting elements, ensuring that everything is packed and stored safely.
Removing the canvas
The canvas is carefully detached from the poles and rolled up for transport, ensuring it remains pristine for its next event.
Disassembling the poles
The wooden poles are then taken down and the entire structure is methodically dismantled.
Site clean-up
We take great care in leaving your venue exactly as we found it. Any minimal waste is responsibly recycled, ensuring a sustainable and environmentally friendly service.
